I decided to create a series of large canvases as a way for me to explore and share how I felt about the numerous rapid changes currently happening within our society. I thought the truths and advances humankind has made would last forever. Those beliefs have been affected by a sense of uncertainty fueled by a powerful shifting of societal perspectives.

My understanding of life is filtered through creativity, particularly painting. I longed to find solid ground. I needed to find my footing. The music I chose to work with in creating this series was Bach's Cello Suites, performed by YoYo Ma.
